Brazil
In Brazil, the 1988 Constitution (article 7, XXXIII) admits the work, in general, from the age of 16, except in cases of night work, dangerous or unhealthy, in which the minimum age is given at age 18. The Constitution acknowledges, too, work from 14 years (art. 227, § 3, I), but only as an apprentice (article 7, XXXIII).
The CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws), in addition, warrants to adolescent workersbetween 14 and 18 years a number of special protections, detailed in Chapter IV(articles 402-441). Among them, the prohibition of work in places prejudicial to theirtraining, their physical, mental, moral and social, at times and places that do not allowschool attendance (art. 403, § only). CLT grants, too, the working student under 18, the right to make your holiday coincide with school holidays (art. 136, § 2).
